Jasmine Brockington
Jasmine Brockington is a senior Journalism major at Hampton University with a minor in Film Studies. She has interned with NBCUniversal and CNBC, supporting shows such as Mad Money with Jim Cramer and The Last Call with Brian Sullivan. On campus, she serves as President of Hampton’s Student Recruitment Team, leading 200+ student tour guides in collaboration with the Office of Admission, and she is active in organizations including NABJ and HerCampus.
Jasmine is also the founder of @jasmine.turns.the.page, a growing book platform dedicated to reviews, recommendations, and literary discussions.
A Richmond, Virginia native, she is a four-time Taco Bell Live Más Scholar, earning a total of $100,000+ in scholarships, and a Washington Media Scholars Foundation award recipient. Proficient in AP Style, Adobe Premiere Pro, ENPS, WordPress, and Canva, Jasmine combines her technical skills with a passion for storytelling, leadership, and amplifying diverse voices. She aspires to become a television producer, continuing to highlight underrepresented perspectives and bring impactful stories to audiences.

In addition to my journalism experience, I manage a bookstagram account, @jasmine.turns.the.page, which has grown to 800+ followers in less than a year. I create engaging content, including reviews, recommendations, and reels that highlight my love for storytelling. Using Canva and CapCut, I design graphics and edit video content to expand reach and build community, showcasing my skills in social media strategy, branding, and audience engagement.
