Professional Experience

A collection of my professional work and internship experiences in journalism and media production, highlighting roles in reporting, content creation, and multimedia storytelling.

A Different World is a podcast I created and hosted while representing Hampton University and Scripps Howard at the 33rd annual NABJ Short Course at North Carolina A&T. The episode explored HillmanTok, a viral TikTok-based university developed by NCAT professor Leah Barlow, examining how digital learning platforms are reshaping education. I contributed as a host and editor, conducting interviews and crafting the narrative, and the podcast earned an Award of Excellence for its creativity and storytelling.

During my internship at Mad Money with Jim Cramer at CNBC, I helped produce the live show, from screening callers to designing on-air graphics in iNews and managing live phone drops during segments. Each day, I coordinated 12 callers, monitored restricted stocks, and ensured every live call went seamlessly on air.

This experience not only strengthened my production instincts but also sparked a passion for business journalism, teaching me how to communicate market trends engagingly. Producing live TV is high-pressure work, but seeing my segments come together on screen has been incredibly rewarding.

Below, you can view a few of the segments I produced, showcasing the banners and graphics I created using iNews.

Another key part of my internship at Mad Money with Jim Cramer has been social media production. Beyond producing live segments like The Lightning Round, I curate and edit content from the show for digital platforms. Using Stratus, CapCut, and Adobe Premiere Pro, I select moments that are engaging, informative, and optimized for social media audiences.

For example, I edited this clip based on Jim Cramer’s advice to young investors—designed to resonate with viewers curious about investing but unsure where to start. You can watch it here

During my time on The Last Call with Brian Sullivan, I was responsible for creating graphics for the show’s daily segments. Using Stratus and iNews, I designed visual elements and found relevant images to enhance each story, ensuring the graphics complemented the content and engaged viewers. Here’s an example of a segment where I sourced images and designed graphics to support the story.

During my time on The Last Call with Brian Sullivan, I worked closely with producers to create engaging soundbites and video clips for the daily broadcast. I built stock boards and charts for show segments using iNews and helped manage live social media content, sharing memorable quotes from the show’s guests. Using Wildmoka and X, I crafted posts to reach audiences beyond the broadcast, and I’ve included links to some of these tweets to showcase my work.
